Inroduction

Inaugurated in 2022, Al-Shifa Trust has the only exclusive Centre for Eye Cancer, offering advanced treatments for both common and rare types of eye cancer. Every year, hundreds of cases of adult and paediatric eye cancer are referred to Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospitals. This centre has separate wards for paediatric and adult patients with cancer. Al-Shifa Trust partners with another hospital for radiation therapy treatment, however, the cost of the treatment is fully covered by Al-Shifa Trust for the underprivileged patients. In the year 2024-25, 1,045 chemotherapy sessions were administered at the Center for Eye Cancer.
In a notable initiative, Al-Shifa Trust recently inaugurated the Oculofacial Aesthetics and Rejuvenation Centre (OFAR), which provides free-of-cost aesthetic and skincare treatments to those deeply impacted by the side effects of chemotherapy or other surgical procedures.
